CASTING CALL: STRONG MALE ACTORS WANTED for June 2026 Production

J Weeks Entertainment Presents: “Just Listen: The Stage Play”

A bold, emotionally driven stage play that dives deep into the inner lives of men, exploring identity, relationships, ego, vulnerability, and truth. Set inside a fictional museum, each “exhibit” brings a different perspective to life, challenging both the audience and the performers to confront what is often left unsaid.

WHO WE’RE SEEKING

We are looking for 5 dynamic male actors who are ready to do real, honest work on stage. This is not a surface-level performance piece. We need actors who can command attention, take emotional risks, and fully embody complex, layered characters.

• Strong stage presence and voice control

• Ability to carry extended monologues with authenticity and intention

• Comfortable exploring emotional vulnerability, conflict, and intensity

• Ability to portray multiple roles is a plus

• Actors who make bold, grounded choices and can hold an audience without distraction

This production is built on performance, truth, and presence. If you are looking for a role that will stretch you and showcase your depth, this is that opportunity.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This is a performance-heavy production centered around monologues and character- driven storytelling. Actors will be expected to carry moments independently, making strong, intentional choices that fully engage the audience.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS

Jordan (Late 20s–30s)

Confident, sharp, and unapologetically expressive. Jordan has a natural charm that draws people in, often using humor as a gateway, but beneath that is a man shaped by deeply rooted beliefs and personal experiences. This role requires an actor who can balance comedic timing with emotional weight, shifting seamlessly between lightness and intensity while standing firm in strong, sometimes controversial viewpoints.

Dominique (Late 20s–30s)

Earnest, successful, and quietly carrying years of emotional baggage. Dominique has done the work to build a life for himself, yet still struggles with how he is perceived by others. Often overlooked or misunderstood, he lives in the tension between who he was and who he has become. This role calls for an actor who can layer confidence with insecurity, revealing a man who wants to be seen, respected, and valued but doesn’t always know how to claim that space.

Victor (30s)

Emotionally bound to his mother’s control, Victor struggles with independence, self- worth, and decision-making. He often deflects blame onto others while quietly battling his own lack of direction. Caught between loyalty and the desire to become his own man, Victor lives in constant internal conflict. This role requires strong emotional depth, vulnerability, and the ability to convey frustration and quiet desperation.

Kaiden (30s–40s)

Smooth, calculated, and undeniably magnetic. Kaiden walks into any room with presence and control. He is a man who has mastered the art of presentation, success, and influence. Beneath the polish is someone who has learned to protect himself at all costs. This actor must bring charisma, control, and subtle emotional restraint, with the ability to make the audience both admire and question him at the same time.

Wyatt (30s–Late 40s)

Highly intelligent, articulate, and commanding. Wyatt does not ask for attention; he naturally takes it. He is confident in his beliefs, unshaken in his delivery, and thrives in intellectual and philosophical debate. This role requires an actor who can own the stage through presence, voice, and precision, delivering dialogue with clarity, wit, and authority while still allowing glimpses of the man beneath the perspective.
